The company offers a “casually luxurious premium cruising experience” with opportunities to relax and unwind, party and have fun, dine on high-quality meals (without buffets!), exercise with an ocean view, enjoy spectacular entertainment, and so much more.
Unlike other cruise lines, Virgin Voyages is adults only and encourages cruisers (with and without kids) to bask in a kid-free vacation. The ship spaces, onboard restaurants, entertainment, and more are all thoughtfully crafted for an adult audience.

- Innovative ship spaces

Target Audience
- Working professionals
- Millennials and older Gen Z with expendable income
- DINKs (double-income-no-kids)
- Adults with young kids who are looking for a child-free vacation
Campaign Elements
The campaign includes:
- 5 Instagram stories highlighting different aspects of the Virgin Voyages experience, such as:
- Modern staterooms
- Spectacular ocean views
- Delicious dining options
- Billboards showcasing the Virgin Voyages ships with consistent messaging — “This summer, set sail for paradise.”
- Bus shelters that feature a QR code to allow people to easily book a cruise on the Virgin Voyages website.
- A newsletter that will be sent to existing Virgin Voyages customers, travel advisors, potential future customers who have opted to receive the newsletter via the Virgin Voyages website.
Instagram Stories
The vision behind the Instagram Story posts is to advertise the many aspects of a Virgin Voyages cruise in an enticing and relatable way.
Since the campaign is targeting working professionals, the Instagram Stories feature phrases like “finally take your PTO,” “treat yourself,” and “the best reason to be OOO.”
Out-of-Home Ads
For the out-of-home ads for this campaign, I propose to have billboards and bus shelters that promote booking a Virgin Voyages cruise for the summer.
Newsletter
The newsletter advertises booking a Virgin Voyages cruise as the perfect summer getaway. It features how to thrive at sea in the ship spaces (such as the fitness center and relaxing stateroom balcony), the uniqueness of the onboard dining options, and a link to a discounted rate.
